How to Search for Articles

CINAHL Complete is an excellent EBSCOhost database for finding allied health articles.

Search tip: use a two-step process

  1. Search using keyword(s)
    • There are many keyword options – it is important to try different combinations until you see more relevant results
    • Examples: 
      • population health
      • pathophysiology AND myocardial infarction
      • diabetes symptoms
    • Ask your professor or a librarian if you need help finding specific keywords and combinations.
  2. On the results page, use filters to restrict to the most relevant results
    • Examples:
      • Publication Date
      • Scholarly ("Academic") or trade publications
      • Full text availability
      • Publications that match specific subject headings
